View from the Eugene |
When we arrived in New York with the bus we didn't have a place where we could stay the next few days yet. Luckily in the last few minutes in the bus where we still had WIFI a guy called Lior

responded the our emergency request. Super happy that we found some place to stay we directly went
to his address which was just one block away from the bus station.
What expected us there blew our wildest fantasy. The building called the Eugene in the middle of New York had the most amazing rooftop I have ever seen. We were able to see all over NYC without even paying. Plus the building had a huge gym included, a full-size basketball court, a flipper room, a music/cinema room, a fireplace date room, free coffee, ... just to name a few extras!
The couch we slept on was on the 46 floor and we could see the Vessel from our window. Lior our host works at the wallstreet. We talked for a long time and he told us crazy stories from the Israeli military where he served several year.
This is the main reason why I would recommend everyone to try couchsurfing:

you meet the most amazing people and are able to hear their stories. Plus when you are lucky you get to stay in places like the Eugene in NYC.
