Housesitting in D.C.
This is how our first housesit ever in Washington D.C. happened.
After a short Skype call with Oren who needed a sitter for his dog Stevie we were all set and ready to go to D.C. We arrived at his flat near the center and he quickly showed us around the house which had two huge roof tops with views over D.C. and he gave us all the instructions we needed for Stevie. Just walking him twice a day and fill up his food and water bowl. So this is how we got to stay in the center of D.C. for free.
Oren also told us that there are free buses for tourist here but we could actually walk to the Mall and the White House because it is so close. What is also great is that a lot of the museums in Washington D.C. are for free. All in all we just spent money on food while staying here for five days.
Stevie the dog was super easy and well-behaved. We were allowed to us the gym, the rooftops with BBQs and the free coffee which the building offered.
